Kid's Church talk

* Do you give close friends or school friends a second chance (Forgive them and start you relationship again) if they have done something bad against you. (Discuss) Eg: Said bad things about you, steal something you owned etc.
* As a Christian God expects us to give others a chance. But when all these chances have expired, you don't get any more chances.
* When we accept Jesus as our friend and talk to him (Prayer), Understand about him (Listening to stories about God), Sharing with his family (Church attendance) we are showing God we truly love him and care form him.
* God promises us that when we eventually leave this world (Die), he will have a special place for us in Heaven.
* What do you think Heaven is (Discuss)
* Sadly there are people who keep ignoring God and even say bad things about him.
* If people have ignored him in this life, he will ignore them when they die and they won't go to heaven.
* That is what todays story is about. The Rich man does not get into Heaven and he wants Lazarus (who did) to come to earth and warn people.
* That is what our task is as Christians. To encourage our friends and family to come and be part of God's family here.
* Your task today is to work out ways that you can do that.

Kids Church Activity:
Heaven – Warnings that you only get one chance – How people refuse to hear the word.
Older children to design a pamphlet about the importance of the faith and how to attract others. These pamphlets could later be printed off and used as a letter box drop.
Younger children to make a 3D picture to represent what they think heaven is and what it contains.
