Teddy Bear's Picnic - Theme "Security"
|
![]() |
Reading - Jesus said, “The time has come for me, the Son of Man, to enter into my glory, and God will receive glory because of all that happens to me. 32And God will bring ? me into my glory very soon. 33Dear children, how brief are these moments before I must go away and leave you! Then, though you search for me, you cannot come to me—just as I told the Jewish leaders. 34So now I am giving you a new commandment: Love each other. Just as I have loved you, you should love each other. 35Your love for one another will prove to the world that you are my disciples.” John 13: 31-35

(Today is an all inclusive activity) After this has been done, continue the security theme. What does your Teddy do for you? (Discuss) For a Christian, I guess in some ways Jesus is like this for us. He gives us a sense of security when we feel sad, unloved, teased etc Like our Teddy today, or in days past, was a great security for us. Today, Jesus is like that for Christians as well. They feel safe when they show their love towards him. In today's reading we see Jesus helping the disciples to feel more secure and safe by stressing a simple point. The way we know we are safe, loved and cared for, is when we understand what true love is about. Give Teddy a bug cuddle. Being loved, secure and safe is very important. Tonight, pray to Jesus and thank Him for helping you to feel loved and safe knowing he is looking out for you. |
