• Do you have captains at your school? (Discuss)
• How are they appointed? (Discuss)
• Sometimes when you are choosing a captain of a team or a class
you may be asked to vote. Sometimes this is in secret (writing it on a
slip of paper to be counted later) or it may be a show of hands.
• But captains are also like leaders, and they need to be people
who have special abilities. What might some of these qualities be? (Discuss)
• Lets demonstrate. I am going to bring some people to the front
that you know, and I want you to choose who would make the best leader.
(Have children choose)
• But sometimes it is very hard when you have to choose between
two people are as good as one another. That is when you might toss a coin
(Demonstrate)
• In today's readings this is what happened when the Apostles has

help.

What you need to get ready:
Card, photos, glue, scissors, slogan, magnets, (The magnetic material
can be obtained from off cuts at Sign writers). You may need super glue
or a semi commercial glue to have them stick to the card. Suggest you
test these prior to the Sunday.
