Kid's Church talk: -
• Have you ever played the game "King of the Castle" (Discuss)
• What did it feel like to be the "King" and how did you
feel when you were not?
• Just imagine for a moment what it would be like to be a King -
A ruler - who had authority over others.
• Would you be a cruel King, a gentle King, a forgiving King, an
honest King (Discuss)
• The qualities of a real king is one who is honest, fair, humble,
concerned for those in his care
• Jesus in today's story is reminding us that we should always do
the right thing by others. We should always be helpful, caring, concerned,
loving etc of others, especially those not as fortunate as us.
• A King does not become a King just by wearing fancy clothes or
a crown. A true King is one who has the qualities mentioned before.
• That is what Jesus wants us to be like
• What sort of King would you like to me if you had the chance? |

What you need to get ready:
: Go to McDonalds or Hungry Jacks and ask for some of their crowns, Turn
them inside out, decorate then with gems etc, plastic gems, fast drying
glue, glitter, glue stick. |
