Kids Address

• Do you have many friends? (discuss)
• Are they bossy? (Discuss)
• If you go to a party together, do you try and get the best seat next to the birthday boy/girl? (Discuss)
• What would happen if you were placed at the end of a long table? A long way from the party host. (Discuss)
• Jesus tells a story today about a party and how some of the guest thought they were the most important, and so they sat in the seats nearest the birthday boy/girl.
• Shock and horror followed embarrassment as they were told to vacate their seats as the host wanted someone else to sit near them.
• How would you feel when this happen? (Discuss)
• Humility is when we don't go round bragging about how good we are and how we are the best friend of the party host. Often we do this to bragg how we are better than others are.
• Jesus does not want us to be braggers - rather he wants us to be concerned with other peoples feelings
• Jesus was a very humble person and if we love Jesus, we would want to be like him.
