Screen saver of the film character "Nemo" plus two side drops of fish in the sea to give atmosphere to the service. Seaside/Fish banners to be made to hung in different parts of the church. Maybe even some netting with coloured fish in them with a slogan "Jesus wants us to fish for him"

Actions to the song would be acted out by the children and congregation to join in with the chorus. The words to be placed on the overhead or video projector or in the weekly newsletter.

This is a seaside song and we would focus on Fishing and especially the making of disciples and joining Jesus' gang!

The talk will focus on how Jesus wants us to be fisherman for him (of people, mates etc) implied of course. This would naturally work in with the idea of a fish invitation to attend the following week's service.

Have the kids fish for things (magnets on end of rod) Maybe you could have some fish with large words written on them for positive things like - Hugs, kisses, help Mum, Help Dad, etc and other fish that have negative aspects - Eg: Naughty, Angry words, Not listening etc.
Fish handouts could be made in the form of an invitation to return and attend some other special service could be given out.
If you want to link it into the theme for next week in the invitations, this is what has been planned.

Fish handouts could be made in the form of an invitation to return and attend some other special service could be given out.

What you need to get ready:
Fish cut out on card with positive & negative messages on each. Fishing poles with magnet on them. Fish shaped invitations on paper for children to colour, textas, coloured pencils, scissors, small varied sweets to give to kids as prizes.
