Kids Address

• Do you know what a Saint is? (Discuss)
• Sometimes people or parents will say "He/She is a real Saint". They are not just talking about children, but adults. Do you know what they mean? (Discuss)
• Fortunately there are still people today where this term is true.
• There are people who will really go out of their way to assist a widow in need long after their partner has died.
• What sort of things do you think they may do to help the person get back onto their feet again and live as normal a life as possible. (Discuss)
• On all saints day we think of those who have stood up for Jesus. Some of these have been accorded sainthood status. People like Saint Paul or Saint Peter etc.
• But we also remember those who have gone to other countries and risked their life in telling others about Jesus. These are true saints for Jesus as well.

• So what about you. Do you have the potential to be a saint for Jesus. When you show others you are part of Jesus family, and when you do nice things towards others, you are heading in the right direction.

• Lets see what sainthood might sound like. (Go through the children's names and put saint in front of it)
• It has a nice ring to it doesn't it.
• Just remember you don't become a saint accidentally. You have to want to be a true follower of Jesus to achieve it and live your life accordingly.

Kids Church Activity:
Focus on Verse 21 – Blessed are those who weep now, for you will laugh. To look at ways of being able to help those who are sad and unhappy, laugh and be joyful. To do a role play about those who make fun of others and how you can do something to help that person being picked on. As a result you become “Saintly” and blessed by God as a true saint

What you need to get ready:
