It’s time we started preparations for The Spring Fair ( 4 September). This year we are hoping for a bigger and better Fair with a bigger and better result!!!
Gourmet Hampers
As you know we have baskets in each centre to collect goods with which we hope to make hampers to sell and/or raffle.
March IS Garden month – it’s been a bit slow so may I please encourage you to pick up something next time you’re out
( potting mix, trowel, seeds, etc) and pop it in your centre’s basket on Sunday.
In April we will collect Toys and in May our focus will be Books. Later in the year we will look to the things like gourmet hampers and so on.
This is a simple way in which we can ask for support without dumping all the requests on everyone in August
Jams and Sauces
There is still a little bit of stone fruit around – so if you are able to make any jams, that would be excellent (especially apricot and plums).
We also need marmalades, sauces, pickles etc. And if anyone has a fig tree – lots of people ask for fig jam – so your gift would be well appreciated.
Plants:
Lastly, if you are able to pot any seedlings, bulbs or Spring flowering plants our plant stall organisers would be very grateful.
If you need any information please don’t hesitate to ring me and look out for our first Spring Fair meeting coming up after Easter.
Thank you for your support

If you are planning on attending the 10.30am Family Service at Gisborne this coming Sunday (Mar 21) it would be appropriate to wear something "Green".
This week's theme will be Saint Patrick and the challenge for all of us to proclaim the faith.
As a special treat the morning tea will be a little different and will include Green Beer, Green Wine, Green Cordial and softdrink (for the kids), green biscuits etc (I am sure you can see where this is heading)
Come along and enjoy this special Family Worship, and most importantly, bring along a friend or family with you.
Don't forget to wear something "Green"

Come and join us on the Parish Camp. (Bring your caravan or stay in an on site, self contained cabin) BIG4 Ballarat Goldfields_Holiday Park. You can check out the facilities, prices etc at
